This is true because it’s now on the internet. If you ever catch an old episode of the 80s sitcom Diff’rent Strokes (apparently, the entire premise of a rich white guy who lives on Park Avenue and might have owned Arnold and Willis’ mom before she unaccountably died is more believable if Different is spelled Diff’rent because somebody at the network heard thar black folk hate them some extra syllables) there’s actually a Canadian translation for some of the NYC inner city slang. Most noticeably, “Whatchoo talking a-boot, Willis?”
